Da Vinci and Sargent Gesso and Painting Bases

Da Vinci Gesso

Permanent and flexible primer used for canvases, hardwood, plywood, paperboard, Masonite®, dry plaster or concrete. Da Vinci gesso is easily thinned with water or acrylic medium and is water resistant when dry.

Conforms to ASTM D-4236.

Available in 16oz., 32oz. jars, and 1 gal. pail.

Da Vinci White Painting Base

Use white painting base as wet undercoat for painting wet on wet technique. Applied directly to canvas. Permanent, flexible and intermixable with oil colors.

Conforms to ASTM D-4236.

Sargent Gesso

Sargent Liquid Gesso is an acrylic primer formulated for use on raw canvas and other surfaces to seal and provide a slight “tooth” for acrylic and other paint media.

Permanent and water resistant when dry.
